Visitor Information
While the nearest underground station is Tower Hill, a 5-minute walk from the main entrance, visitors might like to do as the author enjoys and alight at London Bridge Station on the south side of the Thames. From there it’s a leisurely 15-minute walk along the south bank of the river, which affords some wonderful views of the Tower, across Tower Bridge and to the main entrance.
Byward Postern Gate, Tower of London, 2016. (Author’s collection)
Site of the scaffold on Tower Hill, c. 1900. (Author’s collection)
